OVERKILL Frontman To Guest On FULL METAL JACKIE's Radio Show
January 22, 2010Vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth of New Jersey thrash metal veterans OVERKILL will guest on this weekend's (January 22-24) edition of Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show. The program will also feature the broadcast premiere of the track "The Manifest" from THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD's upcoming record, "Skepsis".

OVERKILL filmed a video for the song "Bring Me The Night" on January 9 in Brooklyn, New York with director Kevin Custer (HATEBREED, TESTAMENT, SUFFOCATION).
"Bring Me The Night" comes off OVERKILL's new album, "Ironbound", which is scheduled for release on February 9 via E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records). The CD, which will be issued in Europe on January 29, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was mixed by PAIN/HYPOCRISY mainman Peter Tägtgren and is described in a press release as "a true thrasher-piece."
OVERKILL will embark on its 25th anniversary North American tour, dubbed Killfest 2010, in April/May 2010. The trek will span the length of the U.S., hitting spots in Canada, with one final show at New York City's Nokia Theater. Support on the tour will come from VADER, GOD DETHRONED, WARBRINGER, EVILE and WOE OF TYRANTS.
Due on February 2 via Prosthetic Records, the self-produced "Skepsis" is the first THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD release to feature new vocalist Danny Rodriguez, drummer Mike Ranne and guitarist Chris "Hank" Henckel. The album was recorded at Geller Cellar Studios in New York and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL),and features cover art by Paul Romano (MASTODON, TRIVIUM).
Since signing with Prosthetic in 2005, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD has sold nearly 60,000 copies and toured with a "who's who" of heavy music, perhaps most notably as part of the now-legendary 2006 Sounds of the Underground tour that featured a stacked lineup of metal gods IN FLAMES, TRIVIUM, BEHEMOTH, CANNIBAL CORPSE, GWAR, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, AS I LAY DYING and more.
The band kicks off a U.S. tour with OTEP, BURY YOUR DEAD and DESTROPHY on February 15.
